Treasurer / Collector

The Treasurer/Collector’s Office serves the Town of Stockbridge in two closely related capacities. In its role as Treasurer, the office is responsible for the custody and management of municipal funds, including the deposit, investment, and disbursement of Town monies, the administration of banking services, the issuance of debt, and support for payroll, personnel, and employee benefit functions. In its role as Collector, the office performs the administrative, supervisory, and technical work associated with the billing and collection of taxes, excises, utility charges, and other municipal revenue, and provides assistance to residents, property owners, businesses, and other taxpayers with payment, billing, and account inquiries. Through these combined responsibilities, the office helps safeguard public funds, support the Town’s financial operations, and ensure the timely collection of revenue needed to fund municipal services.
